We Need Letter Writers!
The Bucks County Voter Registration Task Force is piloting a Neighbor-to-Neighbor letter-writing campaign. We’re hoping YOU will be one of the first volunteers to join us.
The Neighbor-to-Neighbor project asks committed Bucks Dems to write at least one handwritten letter in the next week or two to a local Republican or Independent identified by the Team as more moderate, and perhaps open to switching parties. We’re moving quickly, as October 20th is the deadline to change registration before the Nov. 4th election.
Volunteers will receive a packet containing an instruction sheet, a short letter script to copy, and letterhead stationery. The letter script includes an opportunity for personalization: We’d like you to share a sentence or two re: why *you* are a Democrat — the things that you care about that our party fights for — and then invite the recipient to join us, by updating their registration to Democrat.
Can you commit to writing a letter (or a few!) as soon as possible to help us get off to a strong start?
If you’re willing to help with this important project, please do the following:
Email us at info@bucksdemocrats.org
In the email, please share your name, address, and phone number(s).
Tell us how many letters you can commit to writing and whether you can pick up your packet at the BCDC office in Newtown or Doylestown, or if you need someone to deliver it to you.
We’ll be in touch with you as soon as possible.
We can’t do this without you!
Thanks so much,
Melissa & Kara
