What's at Stake in This Election
Whatever you might think of the New York Times, their analysis of what's at stake in this election is dead on. No election has ever been more consequential in determining the path of our country in the years and decades ahead. We stand with Kamala Harris, and ask you to stand with her as well. In eleven individual stories (available with a full subscription), the New York Times breaks down the sharp divide between Democratic and Republican rule starting in 2025. On their own, the summaries of these articles make a persuasive case to VOTE BLUE.
We know what the other side will do, because they have made their intentions clear. Should Trump and Republicans win:
  • Extremists will continue to undermine free and fair elections and the rule of law. The Department of Justice would answer to Donald Trump and prosecute his enemies. At Trump's whim, the military would be deployed against US citizens.
  • Formerly nonpartisan agencies would be restaffed with those willing to bend to Trump's will, ending the use of facts and science to formulate policy in matters of climate, health and economics.
  • Tax cuts for the wealthy would cripple the federal government's ability to meet its financial obligations and to perform essential tasks in keeping our communities safe. Tariffs on all imported goods would fuel inflation and wealth inequality.
  • The number of women without access to abortion and life-saving reproductive care will continue to rise, as will unnecessary deaths of women denied such care.
  • The Affordable Care Act will be dismantled, denying millions access to life-saving medical care.
  • Millions of immigrants—including hard-working and law-abiding residents, and those brought here as children—would be rounded up and deported, creating needless suffering and denying employers the workers they desperately need.
  • Trump weakened NATO and our ties to allies, and he will do it again.
In contrast, Kamala Harris and Democrats will:
  • Preserve an independent judiciary and free and fair elections,
  • Govern based on facts and evidence,
  • Reduce wealth inequality and create opportunities for small businesses to flourish,
  • Protect our environment and continue to promote clean energy solutions,
  • Codify a woman's right to choose into law,
  • Expand access to healthcare through changes to Medicare and expansion of caps on drug prices,
  • Secure the southern border by passing a comprehensive border security bill, and strengthen our economy and communities by making a path to citizenship possible for law-abiding migrants,
  • Keep NATO and our defense capability strong, and stand up to enemies intent on destroying us.

What's It Like to Canvass (Knock on Doors to Get Out the Vote)?
Talking to your neighbors about the importance of their vote can be intimidating, but there is no better way to encourage voters to go to the polls or to mail in their ballots.
Read about the experiences of one couple, a candidate for judge and his wife, as they reached out to voters in their rural Montana community. We hope you'll be inspired to make the effort here in Newtown and in its sister municipalities. We need everyone's help to win this election!

Why am I voting for Kamala Harris? Let me count the ways.
Men should vote Democrat in this election. Here's why.
Quick Takes

How can the working class believe that Trump supports them? He smirks along with Elon Musk at how smart they are to be able to get away with this and keep so many workers deceived. Turning our economy over to the likes of Trump and Musk is not a New Deal, not a Fair Deal. It's a Raw Deal for the American working class and a Dream Deal for the billionaire class.

I saw some Trump flags and lawn signs. I asked myself, how could people who live nearby one of the great founding events of our democracy support a man who wants to be a dictator on day one and warns of a bloodbath if he loses? How can they support a former president, who unlike George, failed to honor the peaceful transfer of power?

The Obama and Biden administrations, especially the latter, have achieved many liberal objectives, and unless you are maintaining that they have suddenly turned unpopular, the campaign will focus on insuring that those policies are not summarily thrown away in favor of the pipe dreams of a bitter old man.
