Great Public Schools for All Students
We love and support our public schools. We work to achieve the highest quality public education for the children of our community.
For students of color and LGBTQ+ students, acknowledgement and respect promotes good mental health and can even save lives.
Students thrive when they see themselves represented in school-based literature and curriculum materials. Everyone, including every student in public school, deserves to be addressed by their preferred name and pronouns. School buildings must be places of inclusion, free from bullying and intimidation.
We reject recent efforts to ban books, to censor teachers, and to purge American history from curricula in public schools, here and everywhere in the United States.
